Terrorists bite the big one and I have no sympathy for them. Encryption is a methodology to protect data from dubious persons who are not entitled to such info. Having worked for one of the bigger antivirus and encryption software companies I know its legitimate use in regards to protection.
There are dangerous implications to allowing access to all iPhones in terms of spying on customers on the sly without detection by the owners. Cameras and iPhone mics will be eavesdropped into at will and whim with access provided by Master Key backdoor.
Using Grand Daddy Laws implies desperation by avoiding petion through legal process of United States Congress much the same as flavor of the month scam by Presidential Executive Order rather than examining FBI request so as to enact new laws or debate legality of request and enactment constitutionally.
Ignorant pseudo politicians trying to get into the Whitehouse should examine their motivation to bypass due process; the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
Despite the fact that we all despise terrorists is potential of fascism and dictatorship brought about by lazily overstepping protection against tyranny. Protection disolved caused by minuscule discourse afforded to key structures of decmocracy and freedom in general by slipshod no brainer demands bypassing intelligence generating damaging effects as time passes.
We are at crossroads now pivotally in terms of an extreme that only sharp intelligent people may solve. The well thought out intelligent poised against simpletons who are convinced that; ”just this one time”, is all that is needed. Give an inch and they take your freedom totally away.
Well, at least you are able to see how quick fix people think; bypassing the fact that making major constitutional changes will (not effect people) long after the elected are dead and buried. Quick solutions without rational thought and constitutional backup will harm in the long, long run. It’s time to start using drums, pigeons, ballons with attached notes, secret gestures, handshakes and visiting the witch doctor again.
