Imagine a weapon that creates sound that only you can hear. Science fiction? No, this is one area that has a very solid basis in reality. The Air Force has experimented with microwaves that create sounds in people's head (which they've called a possible psychological warfare tool), and American Technologies can "beam" sounds to specific targets with their patented HyperSound (and yes, I've heard/seen them demonstrate the speakers, and they are shockingly effective)… click it

So, how does this answer the question that the camcorder picks up the sound? Well, it isn't always so as you can see in Clear Example of How 'Strange Sounds Can Be Faked (Dagestan-Russia))

We looked at 30-40 videos until we had had enough. They all have the same script. One must look closely to see the reports on TV are similar to the early 9-11 videos in which the same conclusive lack of a conclusion is presented. Something is following a screenplay, as it were.
