(Before It's News)

He has dedicated more than two decades of his life to the hunt for the elusive Loch Ness monster, spending 60 hours a week on the water.

And now George Edwards believes he has finally fulfilled his ambition of spotting 'Nessie'; he even photographic evidence to prove it.

Mr Edwards, who has spent 26 years on his quest, managed to capture this image of a dark hump slinking in and out of the lake's waters from the deck of his boat, Nessie Hunter, before it vanished back into the deep.

He claims the picture is the best-ever taken of the Loch Ness Monster and proves once and for all that the elusive leviathan exists – and is definitely not a sturgeon.

Is that you Nessie? George Edwards claims this is the bashful beast he has hunted every day for the last 26 years?

'Unequivocal': George, left, says he has even had the picture independently verified by a team of US military monster experts as well as a Nessie sighting specialist

'I was just about to return to Temple Pier (in Drumnadrochit) and I went to the back of the boat which was facing the pier and that’s when I saw it,' said 60-year-old Mr Edwards, a lifelong believer in the monster.

  • “military monster experts” now that is a job that has never been offered to me in 23 years of service, where do I sign up?

    It looks like a log…

  • read Job 41st chapter, the so called “lochness monster” is real! The Most High will soon reveal one of two creatures he made during creation for SOME of the punishment of the wicked, he already used him once before in ancient Egypt (found in book of Jasher) this is not a game or a myth… IT’S ALL REAL!!!

  • Except the guy who started the “loch ness monster myth” told all on his death bed and died with a hearty smile. So thats your bubble popped unless you havent taken your medication to day.

  • Why call it a monster ? Why is it not called a species of unknown origin ? As for the deathbed confession, it could be one of two things if it really happened at all, it may have been to put others off the story but it is all supposition really because it is another case of hearsay. I believe there is something down there, and most likely more than one of them whatever they are…
Still whatever…… It is a great mystery anyway and we all love a mystery and tourism in Scotland is sorely needed.

  • @Sten you are incorrect with your facts sir. The region has document stories in its recorded history long before the surgeons photo. Only the photo was faked and the guy who took it confessed to it on his death bed, he definitely didn’t start the loch ness story.

    • OK the “legend” was there before but the fact is its a “legend” a “myth” nothing more.
