We love anomalous trail cam photos. Whether they’re clearly fake images of the Chupacabra, widely circulatedviral marketing for a film, or just a bear with mange, there’s something eerie about a lonely camera snapping grainy photos of anything that wanders by. Well, we’ve got a brand spanking new one for you today, one that’s especially strange… because it’s so clear.
This image, snapped by an as of yet unnamed game trapper from Alberta, certainly appears to be a rather good snap of what looks like some kind of big primate lounging around in the forest; a far cry from the usual “blobquatch” images of blurry brown specs viewed through leaves and digital zoom. The photo is so striking, in fact, that one could easily wonder if it wasn’t actually an image of a gorilla snapped in a preserve somewhere. The woman who uploaded the photo to Facebook a few hours ago, Penny, swears that isn’t the case.
“I know this person. They are a dogsledder and would in no way be the type to try to fool around with fake pictures. They actually think it’s a bear and cub but for some reason they only have one photo. Strange.”

Bear? There appears to be an awfully long Arm there for it to be a bear, IMO. looks to be sitting and leaning left and the leg shown looks like this animal would be pretty tall when standing! Good Catch! Syx.
Trouble is its an “unnamed trapper” only a fake pic would be sent by an “unnamed trapper” because if it were genuine he would be jumping through hoops and shouting “I’m rich, I’m rich” and undoubtedly would be famous.
If this is real than why only one picture? Would you have taken multiple pictures? And as Sten said, why is he unnamed?
I have one of these camera’s. Mine takes a between 1 and 3 shots every time it detects movement, also it records VIDEO. So one shot in my opinion even in earlier trail cam’s sounds iffy.
An old friend of mine and Nez Perce Elder puts a salmon on a rock behind her house for these guys 2 to 3 times a month. They live near by.
In the picture would easily be a female and a young one next to her in seated position as she looks at the youngster.
It’s not fake, its fate.
All trail cams are not alike.
waste
isnt this obama?
It’a Gorilla.. look at the arms .
That is two bears one in front of the other !
What you’re seeing is the ass end of a mother brown bear. The ‘arm’ is actually her rear left leg & you can not see her head since it is lowered & hidden behind the bulk of her body. The smaller brown blob to her right is her cub. Mystery solved.
