Somaliland: Skirmishes in Sool region between army and Khaatumo militias as polling gets underway

Heavy Fighting has taken place in the Hudun district of Sool between Somaliland armed forces and khaatumo militias which are being supported Puntland forces.

Somaliland army Chief General Shaqaale in a press statement said the army had repulsed an offensive launched by the militia on the eastern fringes of Hudun town aimed at scaring voters taking part in the electoral Process.
