North Korea seems hellbent on ticking off all of the world’s major powers, including its “ally”, China. For a country that can barely feed its starving people, their outrageous military expenditures may be a pattern card for the future. Ours and theirs.
The US spends more on weaponry and military defense than any nation in the world. We are currently in a Depression, which neither the White House, nor Congress want to claim. And yet, we continue to pursue self-sustaining wars–a war of terror, where our drones and mistargeted assassinations kill non-combatants, and inspire legions of non-combatants to jump on the suicide bomber bandwagon for a one-way trip to eternity–sustained by global maniacs like North Korea’s Kim Jong-un.

China keeps warning North Korea to stop the war talk and rachet down its belligerance, to no avail. North Korea’s government continue to thump its chest, spew bellicose messages and starve its citizens, to keep its dubious position on the world stage. The North Korean threat sustains a multi-billion dollar US presence in South Korea and Asia, giving rise to a lucrative arms business.
