(Before It's News)

Some 100,000 al-Qud-trained Iranian volunteer recruits are now in Syria, ready to defend it from United States agression if Obama decides to strike, according to Deborah Dupré’s inside military sources.

Former president and opposition leader Hashemi Rafsanjani has asked the Iranian al-Quds Brigades, Maj.-Gen. Qassem Suleimani, to stop sending volunteers to fight in Syria, according to the Iraqi daily Azzaman.

The al-Quds force, an elite unit of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps, is training Iranian volunteers and sending them to Syria via Iraq.

Insiders say al-Quds Brigades and the Basij militia agents are roaming through city mosques and neighborhoods searching for recruits to fight in Syria.

“These efforts could increase if the US strikes Iran, said the sources, who claimed that thousands of Iranians had responded to the call,” the Jerusalem Post reports.
