DAMASCUS, SYRIA 02/11/2016 (2:50 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Air Force (SAAYF) was very active in the eastern countryside of Homs on Tuesday, launching airstrikes over several sites under the control of the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS).
According to an Al-Masdar field correspondent, the Syrian Air Force struck the Islamic State at several villages, killing dozens of terrorists and destroying a large quantity of their armored vehicles.
The field correspondent added that the primary target for the Syrian Air Force were the villages of Huwaysis, Al-Tibah, ‘Arak, and Al-Sukhanah; these aforementioned sites are considered strongholds for the Islamic State.
All-in-all, the Syrian Air Force carried out more than 30 airstrikes against the Islamic State in eastern Homs, paving the way for the second phase of the Syrian Army offensive in the Al-Sha’er Mountains.
