Redskins Logo Compared to Nazi Swastika and Confederate Flag

A political cartoon in the New York Daily News is creating quite a stir by comparing theWashington Redskins football logo to that of the Nazi Swastika and Confederate Flag. The motivation of the comparison is best summarized by the caption below the images that says: “Archaic Symbols of Pride and Heritage.” The obvious point the artist is trying to convey is that the “Redskins” name is insulting to the Native American community and at par with some other symbols that have now become divisive to certain communities.

if a logo is offensive and somehow racist,.. why does no one feel it to be offensive or racist to STEAL the land of American Natives.. or is that a double standard??
It’s ok to steal their land but god forbid they use a depiction of ancestral images decorating a sports teams logo!
If you are truly that offended by the logo, please find the nearest American Native and hand him/her/them your house keys and car keys and APOLOGIZE!
You won’t do that though, will you??? NOPE!
Seems this issue is going to be one of the great distractions to divert our attention from what they are REALLY planning. I’m not looking to fuel this debate, as we have larger concerns. This is a PsyOp to turn our attention away from them, and is in no way any disrespect to the author of this article. THEY have opted for the dive and conquer principle in the venue of ‘turn the citizines against one another’ strategy.

This is offensive that a bunch of idiots want to change this name……indians polled said it didn,t bother them….I mean 90%…….so why the bullcrap…….politics….someone is a little offended so all the world must live by thier stadards….well up yours REDSKINS stay.Oh wait aren,t some peanuts called redskins too….yep and they taste great,leave well enough alone.
