The Montauk Air Force Station reportedly has a real time tunnel in its subterranean laboratory that allowed scientists to travel back to 1943. This story started with two men, the author Preston B. Nichols and Al Bielek in the 1980s, when they had begun to “recover repressed memories of working in the lab”.
There were no such experiments, of course, but some reports stated that U.S. Navy destroyer escort USS Eldrige travelled back in time for about 10 seconds on October 28, 1943.

The Montauk Project was a series of secret United States government projects conducted at Camp Hero or Montauk Air Force Station on Montauk, Long Island for the purpose of developing psychological warfare techniques and exotic research including time travel. Jacques Vallée describes allegations of the Montauk Project as an outgrowth of stories about the Philadelphia Experiment.
Where do you come up with this stuff?
Internet!!!
Where can I spend 2 years in one year!?!?!?
in prison lol will feel like 2 years but in fact will be one year
I’ve seen several people post articles here, and on other websites, attempting to give an overview of Preston B. Nichols and Al Bielek’s stories, except it seems like everyone that posts about them online now a days, hasnt actually read their books. I read most if not all of the original published books they released on this subject, and at one point owned the VHS interviews they released.
Their story has been twisted much by the internet. It was already a crazy tale, at times hard to believe, but the internet has made it more so.
For example, this article alone is short, and still manages to be extremely poorly written, and an extremely poor representation of ANYTHING that was rumored to have gone on at Montauk involving Preston B. Nichols and Al Bielek. From the begining of this article to the end.
I would recommend leaving the internet out of trying to find out the true original story that Preston B. Nichols and Al Bielek talked about, and read the books they themselves released instead. That way you dont have the internet adding junk in or leaving stuff out.
Start with this one then continue if that one was interesting to you http://www.amazon.com/Montauk-Project-Experiments-Time/dp/0963188909/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1385004470&sr=1-1&keywords=the+montauk+project
The Internet is not a source for facts- nor should it be. It’s a place to exchange ideas. It’s a step towards regaining our powers of telepathy. What’s offered shouldn’t be considered facts, but rather other people’s interpretations of facts which should then be explored and dissected by the observer. In the end it all becomes a journey into self.
It was not the USS Eldridge. It was another ship. And it went to a different place when the experiment took place.
It all does seem a bit far fetched, but there are some very plausible ideas expressed. Of particular interest to me was that they were discovering the fallacy of Utopianism. Without struggle there is no desire for improvement. No evolution. People become bored with reality and try to change the channel. He spoke of the ‘red zone.’ Perhaps these are people who are waking up within that society and are then eliminated. From the system’s point of view, waking up from the lucid dream would manifest as entropy.
This whole dilemma was portrayed very interestingly in the movie ‘Logan’s run.’
It’s an interesting read……..thanks and keep up the good work.
