FEMA Operational Report (Hurricane Sandy Update 121028)

Today’s report details where Supply points are being setup in the east coast. These areas will serve as staging areas for search and rescue operations, if needed. Also the report show the various alert levels and Emergency Operational status for each state.

Last night there was a 7.7M Earthquake in Canada, just below Alaska. This earthquake did generate a very minor tsunami. The highest wave was recorded in Hawaii at 1.5 feet.  The tsunami warning remain in effect today due to after shocks. As of this morning there was no reports of damage or injuries resulting from this earthquake.

Flooding is already being reported in the Mid-Atlantic states.

It is time to make sure you have evacuation points already planned out in case you are ordered to evac. Go bags should be ready and all home base supplies should topped off. Make sure all automobiles are full and your Shelter in place checklist are completed.

The storm is due to hit New Jersey on Monday or Tuesday.
