Indiana Governor Mike Pense has acivated the National Guard to assist in road rescues and to help move people to emergency shelters. State government buildings are closed Monday.

Officials have declared a state of emergency in Chicagoland. Local media are reporting that  

A state of emergency was declared in Northwest Indiana on Sunday night; only emergency vehicles are allowed on area roads until further notice due to low visibility and major snow accumulations in Lake County, Ind. Snow is falling across the Chicago area, and dangerous, bitter cold is on its way

Paoli Peaks is suspending  all operations on Monday, January 6th due to the extreme cold temperatures. We hope to take advantage of the cold temps and make lots of snow during this temporary close.
 
Tuesday’s operations are still tentative so watch for an announcement on our website, facebook, and twitter regarding Tuesday’s operations, which will be put out sometime on Monday.
 
NOTE: Everything at Paoli Peaks will be closed, including the Office on Monday.
