(Before It's News)

A nor’easter is going to move up through the Eastern United States on Sunday, starting in the Carolina area and moving up the coast through New England later.  Get the details by reading on.

The nor’easter is expected to start flooding risk across the Eastern half of Northern California early Sunday morning, with thunderstorms possible.  This will move off the coast and the flooding risks will move up through the day on Sunday eventually through all of New England.  The chart in this shows the intensity at which we are expecting the flood risk, where the most ice will be, and of course where the damaging wind gusts will be without the risk of flood/ice/snow.  We have issued a widespread flood watch product for these areas.

As you can see, our grids show damaging winds in Southern New England, including the Boston, MA / Cape Cod forecast area.  Big surprise there, right?  This nor’easter is not a snowmaking along the coast and it will be just a flood risk.  Wind gusts in those zones will be 35 to even 50 mph at times, the strongest for Cape Cod and the Boston, MA regions.

Further north into parts of NY/VT/NH, moderate snowfall will be likely with the passage.
