UFO Wikileaks’ investigation into secret UFO documents from several countries has led at least two countries—the former USSR and the United Kingdom—to release information about sightings and investigations that were kept from the public.
These governments scrambled to release documents about sightings simply because this underground news organization threatened to do so. Take the United Kingdom’s release of secret UFO files. Soon after Wikileak’s founder Julian Assange claimed to have secret UFO cables, Britain released approximately 8,500 pages of UFO-related records.
This is causing a huge stir in the UFO-believer community, who have long insisted that several governments around the world were covering up the existence of sightings. These documents go back to the 1950s—the height of the cold war—and contain such documents as interviews with people who have claimed to have been abducted by aliens.
The release of secret documents has created a huge buzz in the UFO community, not only because what the files actually say, but because it shows a long-term and systematic policy of denial by the Brits. It also shows that the British government took such reports seriously. In fact, the Ministry of Defense investigated UFO reports regularly. The investigations were conducted to determine the validity of such claims.
And Wikileaks is not only targeting the UK. The former USSR, in a cable released by Wikileaks, admits that the country officially investigated UFO sightings. The sightings in Russia were also mentioned in the British files.
