They lie – and the press sleeps

Case in point is the Rich Crandall – John Fillmore contest for Arizona State Senator in District 16.
It is undisputed that Rich Crandall directed his daughter to commit a crime by taking down Fillmore campaign sign(s). Apparently directing his child to commit a crime is okay with Crandall.
The Crandall – Pierce “IE” Committee is carpet bombing the citizens of the district with a false mailer presenting Rich Crandall as Conservative and Fillmore as a liberal. That’s akin to calling Obama, Ed Pastor and Kyrsten Sinema conservatives and Ronald Reagan, Trent Franks and Judy Burges liberals.
The latest Goldwater Institute Legislative Report Card rates Crandall 20th of 21 on Tax policies and 20th of 21 Overall. And Fillmore’s ranking? 6th most conservative out of the 40 Republican state representatives.
To further illustrate, the Americans for Prosperity Legislative Scorecard rates Crandall as 54th of 61 Republicans in the total legislature with a score of 44%. The PAChyderm Coalition Legislative Rankings Report shows Crandall as the absolute worst of all Republican Legislators. How bad could that be?When your rating is less than half of Jerry Lewis and Russ Jones, you can only be identified as a RINO. Crandall makes his money from confiscated taxpayer funds funneled through the school system monopoly, and a voting record that is the most liberal of any member of his caucus.
The mailer is being paid for by a committee formed and controlled by President Steve Pierce from funds donated to elect Republicans in November, not for the purpose of reelecting Senator Pierce as Senate President. Contributors should demand a refund of their money to the House Republican Fund or the Republican Party, who are keeping their word to spend their funds to oppose Democrats.
It is past time for the so-called journalists at the Arizona Republic, the Capitol Times and the Tribune to do their job by reporting the blatant lies being presented to the voters of Legislative District 16. Subscribers become part of the problem if they do not communicate their outrage about the refusal of the fourth estate to inform the public of the lies being spread by the political power brokers. That outrage would be best expressed by canceling their subscription.
