Anniversary of USS Cole bombing marked by more violence
Another U.S. embassy staffer has been murdered. This morning in Yemen, multiple masked gunmen opened fire, assassinating Qassem Aqlan, a longtime U.S. embassy employee who headed the embassy’s security investigation team.
How long will it be before the mouthpieces representing the Obama regime find an obscure YouTube video on which to blame this murder or for the dishonest Susan Rice, Hillary Clintonand Jay Carney to claim this was not a terrorist attack and was unrelated to al Qaeda jihadists?
And as the murders of U.S. ambassador Christopher Stephens and three American diplomatic personnel in Benghazi, Libya were coordinated with the anniversary of September 11, 2001 terror attacks, this assassination in Yemen coincides with the anniversary of the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole — which took 17 lives on the guided missile destroyer enforcing the U.N. embargo on Iraq a dozen years ago. The American vessel had been refueling at the Yemeni port of Aden when a pair of suicide bombers rammed their explosive-packed skiff into the ship.
Here U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) blasted the Obama regime hacks for providing “demonstrably false” statements about the Benghazi attack, not just to Congress, but also to the American people. Gowdy speaks for us all when he says, “It was never about a video, it was never spontaneous. This is terror. And I want to know why we were lied to.”
