Blog del Narco: Hitmen Execute 2 Students in Nuevo Leon
While they were talking in a corner, two high school students were shot last night from a truck where they transported several criminals. Also, an adult was injured in Escobedo.
Those executed were identified only as Ivan Robledo Medrano, 16, and Jorge Luis Galvan Sanchez, 18, who was known as “La Burra”. He was a student at a technical school in the municipality.
The injured has been identified as Rito Ortega Ruiz, 48, by family members.
The double execution was reported around 10:30 pm yesterday on the Cerro de la Silla Street at its intersection with Cerro del Cubilete in Colonia Las Malvinas.
Paramedics could not save Iván and Jorge Luis, who died instantly from the multiple wounds to the head, chest, arms and legs.
Nor could they provide first aid to Ortega Ruiz, as he was taken to a hospital by his family.
According to the Ministerial Police investigation, the young were innocent because they were not associated with any organized crime group.
The ministerial believe that the target of the criminals was Ortega Ruiz, who survived.
According to witnesses, the criminals were traveling in a white minivan with a blue stripe. They shot at the students who were talking to Ortega Ruiz.
Neighbors added that one of the gunmen got out of the truck and shot Jorge Luis Ivan from close range.
Afterwards, the criminals sped off in the van. Police immediately implemented stops at all entrances to the colony in order to locate the criminals.
