A massive storm has dumped up to 17 inches of snow on the central US. Tornado warnings are in force and two people have died. Millions of people in 24 states will be affected before the storm fizzles out as it reaches the Great Lakes area on Saturday.
Hot on its heels is another weather system, moving up from the Gulf of Mexico that’s expected to dump up to two feet of snow on some parts of the East Coast on Saturday and Sunday
The Governor of Missouri has declared a state of emergency, Governor Jay Nixon said:
“Missouri stands ready to help communities in need and to deploy the resources to keep folks safe. I urge all Missourians to keep a close eye on the weather and avoid unnecessary travel.”
