A Spanish man recently began a walk around the world to “promote love and respect for the environment.”
On March 21, 32-year-old Ignacio Dean Mouliaa set off on what is expected to be a 5-year walk, dubbed the “Earth Wide Walk.”
Mouliaa got the idea for the walk a few years ago, saying, “It came out of two things: a dream and a need. The dream was my personal dream to walk around the world while the need was to promote love and respect for the environment. Our job is to look after the earth for our children, and the most environmentally friendly mode of transport is walking. Walk around the world is the best way of getting this message across.”
By the end of his journey, Mouliaa says he’ll have walked across 40 countries on six continents.
Watch his projected path for the “Earth Wide Walk” here.
