Thank
you report Just a few thoughts for the many Dinarians who have been so gracious
and kind as to lift me up in prayer. I really did not want this horrible event
to become public but it is and now you know. Most of you are not aware of all
the answers to prayer that I have already received.

I had a really funny event happen recently when my friend Godsson made  it
public that I had been in a serious wreck and needed prayer.  I received a
call from a friend who said they had just heard I was in a wreck and was brain
dead……Too funny.

Indeed I was in a major wreck in my pickup in September that has totally
changed my wife and my lives. I was driving on a rural highway and someone
pulled out from a stop sign in front of me. I had less than 2 seconds to react
and went from 54 mph to 0 just like that.

Because of the trauma I have been pretty much restricted to the couch.  I
will not bore you with the details of the problems but I am humbled knowing
that thousands of people have been praying for my wife and me for nearly seven
months. I would like to share some of the many blessings that we have received.

….
I was admitted into an emergency room of a quality hospital five months after
the collision. My primary care physician made sure that I had the best doctors
in the area check me out. When the team of doctors told me there was nothing
they could do, I felt like I had been kicked in the gut and head.

I had a split second where I thought about feeling sorry for myself and then I
told my doctor and wife that I have my voice, my legs and my arms…..and I am a
blessed man. My wife who is a nurse of 30 + years and I could not understand
the episodes I was dealing with on a daily basis.

I had one test after another and did not have a viable diagnosis until this
February in the Hospital when we learned I have a 2” dissection of an artery in
my neck that supplies blood to my brain. The artery is crushed and is not
repairable by modern medicine.

Not accepting this as the end of the story, my wife reached out to the
Neurosurgery department of Johns Hopkins Medical Institute on a Sunday looking
for a cerebral vascular neurosurgeon. A Neurosurgery representative stated it
would be 3-4 months before he could see me. My wife advised him that based on
the severity of issues I was dealing with that I might not have that long.

The next day he referred me to the top specialist in this field. On Tuesday I
received a call from this Doctors office asking if we could make it to
Baltimore Md. on Friday to consult with the Dr. We made that appointment and on
the following Monday had an angiogram. You just don’t get an appointment and
meet in the same week of contact with the top doctor in the country.

Oh and there are only 8 doctors in the country who have this specialty. That
was an amazing blessing.

After the angiogram the doctor came in to tell us that the artery is indeed
totally occluded (crushed) and there was nothing medically that could be done
for me. He then shared a couple of fascinating developments. Because the artery
is totally cut off, there is no blood coming through and thus little chance of
a stroke.

Most people who suffer from Vertebral Arterial Dissection (VAD) end up having a
stroke. The doctor then advised that the artery on the other side had actually
enlarged some and was providing a little extra supply of blood missing from the
damaged side. Can you say WOW?

I have been in the ministry for thirty four years and have seen numerous
miracles and acts of our wonderful Lord. Every time a fellow minister or friend
states they have put me on a prayer chain and will continue to pray I always
reply that God indeed sees all and hears all!

He is not deaf and indeed the prayer of the righteous comes before the throne
of God Almighty. So I thank each of you who are lifting my wife and me before
the Lord. He is faithful!

With the greatest appreciation and thanks!
