Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz took to the Senate floor at about 2:42 p.m. EST, delivering what will prove to be a multi-hour speech against “Obamacare.” Senator Cruz said he’d speak “until I am no longer able to stand.”
FreedomWorks has launched a “Stand with Ted Cruz” campaign to coincide with the Senator’s attempt to stop “Obamacare.”
Ultimately, Democrats hold the cards when it comes to a procedural vote in the Senate. A vote will take place no later than 1 p.m. Wednesday, and a continuing resolution will be sent back to the House for consideration. That is where the end-game drama about Obamacare” and a potential government shutdown will occur.
