Blog del Narco: El Chapo Goes Peacefully to Save Wife and 2 year old Twin Daughters
There was not a single shot, no resistance, Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman surrendered peacefully. One of the most dangerous men in the world went peacefully in order to protect his daughters and his wife who were with him when he was captured by elements of the Navy.
As is now known, the first marine entered into the master bedroom and encountered Emma Coronel, the young wife of Guzman. “I am alone,” cried the woman from where she was found lying on the bed. But the troops knew the boss was there.
They searched the small bedroom and finally the bathroom where ‘El Chapo’ was inside. But he did not resist. He knew that if he fired one of the guns that were nearby, it would unleash a bloodbath.
‘El Chapo surrendered peacefully and his twin daughters and his wife were not injured. He opened the bathroom door and came out with hands up. “There, there. Okay, okay, ” he said the marine relayed.
PGR officials confirm ‘El Chapo’ did not fight to protect his family.
“He knew that to if he fought there would be bloodshed. But then he thought of his wife and daughters. That was when the leader of the Sinaloa cartel decided to open the door of the bathroom where he was hiding. ” Authorities report.
The authorities did not detain the wife of ‘El Chapo’ because she has no charges against her. So did the cook and nanny who were accompanying the family in one of the two bedrooms rooms marked with the number 401 Miramar building in Mazatlan, Sinaloa.
