At 17:52 UT AR2017 unleashed an X1 flare. NASA has not announced yet if a CME was hurled into space…but if it was it is coming in our direction.
The spot is on the north western side of the Sun and is crackling with activity meaning more flares are possible.
The estimate for further X-class flares at 20% for the next 24 hours and at 55% for M-class flares.
