The stabbing happened to 47-year-old Michael Hess of Long Beach inside an apartment in a building near the 6500 block of Indiana Avenue. Police were called to the scene at about 10:45 p.m. that night.
LBPD officials said the preliminary investigation into the incident determined that Hess and a 52-year-old male subject who resided in the complex were involved in a dispute prior to the fatal stabbing.
