In memoriam: Sen. Tom Smith

Tom Smith was a very special man, who lived a meaningful life and influenced others by his fine example.
If you were fortunate enough to have your path cross his, you knew you’d met someone of rare quality, strength of character and insight. He was a Marine, an officer and a gentleman, an educator —- and a statesman, in the truest meaning of the word.
At Tom’s request, “please, please, no donations, sympathy cards or flowers. In lieu of this, take your spouse, companion, friend, neighbor, or whoever, for a night out and have one in honor of Tom.”
