[Madison, Wisc...] Labor unions organized protests all across Wisconsin on Thursday as a part of a national movement to call for an increase in the minimum wage to $15 an hour. During the protests in Wisconsin, two state legislators applauded workers for leaving their jobs in the middle of shifts. In fact, Rep. Melissa Sargent (D-Madison) led a charge to ask workers to strike at a Taco Bell location on the east side of Madison. During the protest, no one mentioned the detrimental impacts raising the minimum wage would have on the economy.
