The armed citizen is credited with saving Donald Sacco's life. Other citizens called 911 and helped with first aid.
A good Samaritan who was driving by the bus stop witnessed the stabbing, pulled his gun out of his car and held Thorpe at gunpoint, deputies said.
Several other citizens also stepped in to help the victim, according to deputies.
