Russian scientists are working hard to restore the Tesla Tower, constructed in the 1970s to protect vehicles, aircrafts and electronic equipment against lightning.
Today, the one-of-a-kind High Voltage Marx and Tesla Generators Research Facility, located some 40 kilometers from Moscow, could boast the capacity to equal Russia's entire electricity output – but only for about 100 microseconds.
