9/2/2014 — Large ‘THUNDERBIRD’ On Video — Tornado Sirens, Strobe Lightning & Falling Tree

“When you are constantly moving forward, searching for the cutting edge, everyone behind you always believes you have gone too far. The further back from the cutting edge they are, the more extreme and, indeed, insane, you appear, to them, to be. In this way, one person’s “madness” can be another’s commonsense.”

According to a recently published report, that report states September 1st going into September 2nd 2014:

St. Louis, Missouri had major supercell thunderstorms blow through.

Had my camera out in it from 1030pm to about 11pm..

Tornado sirens, a tree getting knocked over in the neighbors yard, strobe lightning, green lightning……AND A GIANT THUNDERBIRD!

Yes, I said it. A bird with a large wingspan, flying in the tornado warned supercell, with hail, and strobe lightning. Seen at about 18min 30sec into the recording.

It flew directly overhead a few times as the storm blew over — not on the edge of the storm, but literally INSIDE it. I’ve never seen anything like it, and this was a large bird — not a hawk, vulture, or crane.

It was illuminated by background lightning as it made a few passes at about 1,000 feet altitude. A true “thunderbird”. I always thought those were cryptozoological legends, nevertheless, now I’ve seen it first hand, and have it on video!!

I’ll be editing up the video soon, will try to get a good brightening, and zoom on the bird as it appeared in the storm.

Not saying its the “supernatural” indian legend thunderbird, however it surely is a bird with a wide wingspan flying inside a dangerous NWS tornado warned supercell (with hail, strobe lightning, and damaging winds), I’ve never seen a bird this big in SOUTH ST. LOUIS CITY (or surrounding areas) , of this I am certain.

I’ve seen large cranes, and storks — the screenshot attached proves its not either one of those nearby “Mississippi River” birds. Whatever it is, it was large, fast, not scared of hail / damaging winds, and flying at night in circles.

The storm itself was wild. Will be a few hours before I can get the video done.

  • The thunderbirds of past native history, are the ‘sky sylphs’… they can bring in new weather… and they are now putting on public demonstrations of their ability to neutralize chemtrails. • Dutch is an idiot. Literally a fear-mongerer that I cannot stand.

    • He said possibly a wing span of 2 to 3 feet… LOL Apparently he has never seen a Great Horned Owl flying at night! They have a wing span of about 6 feet… I had an injured one in my pickup truck and it couldn’t expand its wings inside the cab of my truck BECAUSE of its wing span… I also watched a Great Horned Owl grab and fly away with a rabbit I had turned loose on my property because that doe always killed her babies.. That New Zealand Rabbit weighed 15 pounds, guts fur and all… That Owl flew with the Rabbit down thru my Apple orchard, and its wings were clipping the trees on each side… MAYBE that is what this guy saw… A storm like that would certainly have cats, smaller dogs and other urban small animals scurrying for cover, good hunting conditions for a Great Horned Owl… Just saying, a possibility!

    • What’s the matter Weather Alert Central? Did Dutch steal your thunder! LOL

      • Dutch couldn’t forecast the weather better than me if his life depended on it.

  • In Ontario Canada, the natives have been throwing drills about the thunderbird for years. there are story’s of them coming down and stealing kids. they have these rehearsals to this day. I have always been fascinated by these creatures.

  • Unfortunately the bird just looked like a normal sized bird. I couldn’t hear the thunder or the other odd rumbling sound, but it looks like it was a wild night just the same. We moved up to Anchorage Alaska in July and I haven’t seen a thunderstorm since. Not that I miss them.
