The Dutch Safety Board released a preliminary review of the MH-17 crash in the Ukraine. The report notes, “The available images show that the pieces of wreckage were pierced in numerous places. The pattern of damage to the aircraft fuselage and the cockpit is consistent with that which may be expected from a large number of high-energy objects that penetrated the aircraft from outside…”
In an official press release, the Dutch Safety Board was careful to note, “More research will be necessary to determine more precisely what caused the crash and how the airplane disintegrated.” No doubt, Western media will spin this story and fail to provide context. The Dutch Safety Board will also likely come under intense political pressure for having made a statement that dilutes the missile shoot-down narrative. Time will tell. The “final” report is due out in about a year.
Months ago, independent researchers examined photographic evidence and reports from independent observers (pilots, etc.) of the crash site and related evidence. These reports pointed to the high probability that MH-17 was actually shot down by another aircraft. A section of the cockpit of the downed plane shows multiple, small holes created by projectiles.
