There are reports that Kim Jong Un’s sister is now running the country. WHAT! The capital, Pyongyang, meanwhile, has been placed into lockdown with even the elite banned from entering or leaving, according to a respected news site. A North Korean expert said that this kind of measure is only put in place when a coup has taken place – or is suspected. OH BOY…
It’s been a strange few weeks for Kim Jong-un, as the latest reports from North Korea suggest he’s no longer in control of the country at all.
First, it turns out he’s eaten so much cheese that it became a life-threatening addiction, then he got so fat that he fractured his own ankles, and now it seems that he’s lost control of the country.
According to what Vice are reporting, Jang Jin-sung, a former senior North Korean official who worked as part of the the previous leader’s propaganda machine, has said that the Organization and Guidance Department (OGD) have stopped taking orders from Kim Jong-un.
The OGD answered only to Kim Jong-il and are extremely powerful and have “effectively taken control of the country”, with factions within them arguing over keeping a strict reign over the economy, or opening up slightly to get more money through foreign trade.
Jang asserted that the country may well be on the brink of a civil war as a result of this divide in a speech given in the Netherlands last month to a group of former North Korean officials and senior diplomats.
Kim Jong-un has been out of the limelight recently and was not seen at the Supreme People’s Assembly, an event which the leader normally always attends. The reason for his absence was cited as the aforementioned injury to his ankles that saw him hospitalised, and instead he was shown in a video touring a military base with a heavy limp. Read more

Let’s hope it is true, for the sake of the poor N Korean people and that whoever has taken control is a sensible, intelligent and compassionate human being.

i somehow think that’s unlikely, since the NK military really are the ones running the show. i doubt they’re the most compassionate people. but hope springs eternal, and i’m with you on that.

CNN showed a video where top North Korean officials just “dropped in” on a South Korean government meeting. They had to scramble…. but the red carpet was thrown on the floor and it seems that both sides ‘made nice.’
This may just bode well for both countries. I certainly hope so.
He’s not that fat. His brothers are plumper.
More likely to have developed a drinking than a cheese disorder since his mothers death. Unless he’s lactose intolerant.
By my lights cheese makes perfect sense…..rat that he is….
Keep in mind Obama is worse than this guy.
I shouldn’t glorify so much dirty work, but Kim’s forebears may have needed to use such odious methods, just to maintain leadership and keep the country together.
