Chiquis Rivera Returns for Second Season of Her Reality Show
hiquis Rivera, daughter of the late singer Jenni Rivera – and at the request of her fans – launches Tuesday the second season of her online reality show “Chiquis Confidential,” her response to rumors about her in the gossip media.
“The Internet series is a very personal production, very intimate, with the people I want to accompany me in my daily life as a singer, and in which I’m now preparing my first disc,” Chiquis Rivera told Efe.
“They say so many things about me but with this reality show I can clear up many of those rumors in my own words. I want people to know me as Chiquis the person, the sister, the daughter,” she said.
“Chiquis Confidential,” in English with Spanish subtitles, kicked off with 48 episodes of between five and seven minutes each on the Web site chiquisonline.com in February 2014, produced by Guillermo Rosas, Diego Jacome and Richard Bull with animated effects by Elim Nicea and Nicotronick.
The second season entitled “Chiquis Confidential 2” starts this Tuesday and will consist of 24 episodes available to viewers via Internet beginning at 3:00 p.m. Pacific time on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
“A lot of people criticized me because in the video of my first single ‘Paloma Blanca” we used one of mom’s dresses, and that annoyed a lot of people,” she said about the remarks of Jenni Rivera’s fans, who complained on social networks that it wasn’t right the way Chiquis was using her mother’s fame to promote herself.
“About the dress, I just asked my Aunt Rosie to wear it and to appear with me in the video, because I wanted my mom to be theCre…I did it with a lot of love and affection,” she said.
Janney Marin, otherwise known as Chiquis Rivera, began her life in showbiz together with her mother in the television shows “Jenni Rivera Presents: Chiquis & Raq-C” and “I Love Jenni.”
