The Department of Homeland Security is apparantly hiding a mass Extraterrestrial kidnapping of Georgia citizens. It seems that 40,000 voters in Georgia just up and disappeared. These mostly black voters may have disappeared, along with their voter registration papers, after registering to vote. Is thee an intergalactic conspiracy to suppress the black vote?
ATLANTA — It was a stray comment at the end of a conversation, but it said volumes about how a controversy over voter registration in Georgia might prompt African-American voters to head to the polls Tuesday.I was walking out of the Rev. Raphael Warnock’s third floor office at the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood east of downtown.
As we neared the door, Warnock was speaking about allegations that Georgia’s secretary of state, Brian Kemp, has lost some 40,000 new voter registrations sent in from majority black counties. Kemp has called the complaint “frivolous.” But a coalition of groups, including Warnock’s church and the state and national NAACP, are pressing the issue.
“We hate what (Kemp’s) doing,” Warnock said, “but at the end of the day, he may have done us a favor.” Warnock predicted “historic African-American turnout” on Nov. 4. morehere
” It seems that 40,000 voters in Georgia just up and disappeared.”…0ooops, those are the one that vote TWICE in every election.
Nope, These are the ones that did not vote for Obama!
Deported back to the jungle where they belong
Any old excuse will do….when it comes to voter suppression.
Incidentally, I took my 65 year old mother to reregister to vote a couple of weeks ago in Alabama. The amount of hoops one must jump to register is phenomenal. (Her registration went smoothly, although I was appalled when I realized the scope of the process and how it was designed to limit the poor from registering. Anyone who doesn’t own a car-doesn’t register.)
But lets boil it down to this…..If you don’t own a car and have insurance on that car, provide present and former address and a current DRIVERS LICENSE…..YOU DON”T REGISTER.
You see….In the state of Alabama…if you don’t maintain insurance on a vehicle….the state invalidates your license. Then it invalidates the registration on the car. These numbers are then invalid to place on a voter registration form. Or, if you live in town or are elderly and cannot drive…you may not have these at all….and so….cannot place these on a form….and cannot register.
If you are Homeless and have only a state Id…..you cannot register.
The whole process is set up so that the poor are less able to REGISTER…..much less vote.
