How is it even remotely possible that Green Day are in the Rock Hall of Fame but DJ Kool Herc is not?

Green Day does some really cool covers of Rolling Stones tunes. And they're very good at it. Green Day's cover of “Rip This Joint” is way better than anything the Stones ever did.
No wonder Green Day has been inducted into the Hall of Fame.
All DJ Kool Herc ever did was invent an entire new genre…

DJ WHO??? never heard of him/her/them.. that might be why he/she/they aren’t in the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME..
ANOTHER reason might be it’s RAP and NOT ROCK!?!?
Perhaps they can “if they haven’t already” create a RAP hall of fame.. you can fill it with what the rap community considers talent.. if that actually exists, as I consider rap a genre for those who CAN’T SING..
