Immersion and what it really means!

(Before It's News)

Walk the narrow path of righteousness!

Walk the narrow path of righteousness!

Things to consider when you are thinking about Immersion and what it really means!

Immersion is a ceremony in water that attends the making of a solemn Renewed Covenant with

Our Father Father יהוה in Heaven through His son יהושע Messiah.

In the Immersion Covenant we agree to obey all of Father יהוה ‘s commandments where

possible, as recorded for us in all of Scripture.
In particular, we follow יהושע Messiah, the Messiah, our teacher and our example, in
Using the true names of Father יהוה and יהושע Messiah the son,
keeping the Seventh day Sabbath and Annual Feast Days, Using Clean Foods and clean

practices, and Loving all people, especially the Renewed Covenant brethren in the body of

Messiah in the Way.
We firmly commit to obeying the commandments, statutes and judgments in the scriptures

with Yah’s help.

CONSIDER THESE THINGS

The scriptures are written in the format and structure of a treaty and not a religious

document. Many people confuse these two things. The Torah is the constitutional covenant

of the kingdom of Israel. The scriptures are not a religion but a covenant shown that we

are to keep with our Father יהוה and יהושע Messiah . We do not believe in Religion but only

in the scriptures that have not been corrupted by man.
There are some things to consider carefully before a person enters the Renewed Covenant

commitment through immersion:
Matthew 7:13 “Enter in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that

leads to destruction, and many are they that enter in by it. 14 For narrow is the gate,

and straitened (difficult) the way, that leads to life, and few are they that find it.”
One way leads to where יהושע Messiah is today, at the Father’s side forever. Follow יהושע

Messiah and you can be there too.

1. A SOLEMN COVENANT VOW “COVENANT RELATIONSHIP”
this is a solemn Vow before Father יהוה which must not be entered lightly, for it cannot

later be dissolved. Ecclesiastes 5:4-5: When you vow a vow unto Elohim, defer not to pay

it; for he has no pleasure in fools: pay that which you have vowed. 5 It is better that

you should not vow, than that you should vow and not pay. Also remember what יהושע Messiah

said in Matthew 12:36-37: “But I tell you that every idle word that men shall speak, they

shall give account thereof in the Day of Judgment. 37 For by your words you shall be

justified, and by your words you shall be condemned.” The Renewed Our Covenant Vow/Oath

that we make with Father יהוה through יהושע Messiah is much like the first covenant. The RC

was promised here: Through the RC with יהושע Messiah we become part of יהושע Messiah’s

body, congregation or Assembly, which is pictured as יהושע Messiah’s bride. It is not a

corporation or one specific group of people See the marriage in Revelation 19:7-8.

2. REPENT AND KEEP FATHER יהוה ‘S LAWS
You must repent of your past way of life and be eager to change to a new and different

life with Father יהוה . As Peter said in Acts 3:19: “You therefore, repent and be converted,

so that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the

presence of Father יהוה .”
Moses said in Deuteronomy 30:6: “Father יהוה your Elohim will circumcise your heart, and the

heart of your descendants, to love Father יהוה your Elohim with all your heart, and with all

your soul, so that you may live.”
Please read David’s prayer in Psalms 51, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to

him, after he had gone in unto Bathsheba. Also read Father יהוה ’s words in Isaiah 1:16-20

Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, says Father יהוה : though your sins be as

scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as

wool.”

3. LOVE THE BRETHREN
You will become part of a new family, the congregation of Father יהוה ’s children. Just as

in an earthly family, you will be expected to honor Father יהוה as your father, יהושע Messiah

as your eldest brother, and love the congregation, and to get along well and love all the

brethren in a special way.
יהושע Messiah said in John 13:34: “I’m giving a new commandment to you, That you love one

another as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this shall all men know

that you are my disciples, if you have love to one another.” and in John 15:12 “This is my

commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 No one has greater love

than this, that a person lay down his life for his friends. 14 You are my friends, if you

do whatever I command you.”
In Father יהוה ‘s congregation you can expect to find help, comfort and brotherly love. You

are also commanded by יהושע Messiah to give these two others in the congregation.

4. DOCTRINE
Every healthy organization is constantly growing. יהושע Messiah’s Congregation/Assembly

grows by learning from the Elders. If you feel there is something the

congregation/Assembly should know, the right way to bring it up is to bring it to the

Elders according to the scriptures. Many people are spread so far apart so this doesn’t

really apply in many cases. Doctrine is important but love and unity are absolutely

essential. Until we all come to the unity of belief we are to love each other and try to

build each other up, not break each other down. People are never going to agree 100% on

everything, so we want to give favor to those who are still learning and help them along

the way. Please read the following scriptures Ephesians 4:11-15 Together, coming to be

perfect. Gal 5:22-26
Titus 1:8-10 Elders protect the brethren. Titus 2:11-15 1 Peter 5:1-6 All of you be

subject to one another, and be clothed with humility: for Elohim resists the proud, and

gives grace to the humble. Hebrews 6:10-15, and 13:7-9 In Deuteronomy 17:2-13 and Numbers

11:16-17 and 11:24-25 we see that the leaders of the congregation are to be judges in the

congregation.

5. THE KINSMAN / REDEEMER
When someone is ‘deemed,’ that means they are named to be a certain thing. One may sell

himself to pay a debt and be deemed to be a slave. To be redeemed means to have that name

changed. A person who was deemed to be a slave may have his debt paid and be redeemed to

be free. We can see some rules about this in Leviticus 25:47-55. An example occurs in the

book of Ruth. A kinsman (relative) may redeem someone. In several examples, a covenant

creates a family relationship. We saw that in Jeremiah 31:32 above where the first

coventant created a marriage relationship. The covenant of Immersion makes us יהושע

Messiah’s younger brother or sister. This means יהושע Messiah can redeem us from being

sinners to being righteous by his sacrifice on the tree. Halleluyah! Good News!

6. PREACH THE GOOD NEWS
Just as someone shared with you, you must share the good news of יהושע Messiah with those

who are sincere seekers of the truth especially by your own example, by your personal

witness and through the work of your congregation/Assembly. Father יהוה ’s Spirit will help

you and the congregation/Assembly or teachers/ministers online may provide materials to

you so you may plant seeds with other people.
Matthew 28:19 is generally agreed to be a later addition to the scripture and is not a

reliable text. We follow the form we see being used in scripture: You want to share your

talents with others and not burry them in the ground so no one can see them. You want to

let you light shine. We want to be able to put it on the lamp stand and not in the attic.

We are to bear the testimony of יהושע Messiah and have the spirit of prophecy.
Acts 2:38 be baptized every one of you in the name of יהושע Messiah the Messiah.
Acts 10:48 And he [Peter] commanded them to be baptized in the name of יהושע Messiah the

Messiah. Acts 19:5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Master יהושע

Messiah. Romans 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into יהושע Messiah the

Messiah were baptized into his death? Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been

baptized into the Messiah have put on the Messiah. Acts 8:11-17 and Act 19:1-7

OTHER SCRIPTURES TO CONSIDER:
Acts 2:38-47 Romans 6:3-23 Galatians 5:22 The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,

patience, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 meekness, and temperance: Nothing in

Torah stands against these things. 24 And those that are the Messiah’s have executed the

flesh with it’s passions and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the

Spirit. John 15:1-14 v. 5 “I am the vine, you are the branches: He that abides in me, and

I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that you do not sin. And if

any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, יהושע Messiah the Messiah the righteous: 2

And he is the sacrifice for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the

whole world. If we sin, we need to go before Father יהוה , repent, and ask forgiveness and

for help to obey in יהושע Messiah’s name

Ask this of the people at the water’s before they go under.

1. Do you, ___________________ accept יהושע the Messiah, as your Savior and as Sovereign

ruler in your life?

2. Do you renounce Satan, his destructive way of life and all sin? Do you promise to turn

away from sin and follow Father יהוה ‘s laws in every way possible, with His help?

3. Do you want to and will you share the good news of Father Yah and all the things we

have gone over in pre-counseling with those who are sincere seekers of the truth?

4. Do you wish to enter into the Renewed Covenant by immersion into the name of יהושע

Messiah the son of Father Yah and thereby commit your life to Father יהוה and יהושע Messiah
5. At the water:

“_________________________ _________________________,
BASED ON YOUR CONFESSION AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF SCRIPTURE AND OUR SAVIOR, I IMMERSE YOU

FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS AND TO RECEIVE THE RUACH, INTO THE NAME OF OUR MASTER יהושע

Messiah.
(The immersion) HALLELUYAH!”

The baptized individual may pray immediately after before or immersion as יהושע Messiah did,

either silently or aloud. (Luke 3:21)

(Date ___-___-20__), with the following as witnesses:
_______________________
_______________________
After immersion the Elders lay hands on the person to transfer the Ruwach HaQo’desh to

them.
After your immersion you should set some goals for your new life. We suggest that you set

a goal to read through the scriptures in the next year and set some goals for better

relationships (more love) and for clearer understanding of the faith.
I will faithfully try to:

___________________________________________________________________________
Revelation 22:20-21 He who testifies these things says, “Surely I come quickly.” Amein.

Even so; Come, Sovereign יהושע Messiah . 21 The grace of our Master יהושע Messiah the Messiah

be with you all. HalleluYAH!
