Jay Leno took a jab at the current generation’s obsession with political correctness this week during an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”
Discussing his stand-up comedy routine, Leno made specific note of the over-the-top political correctness exhibited by college students who frequent his shows.
“College kids now are so politically correct…” Leno said.
Citing a previous incident at the Tonight Show, Leno recalled being accused of racism by a college intern for stating that he did not want to eat Mexican food for lunch.
“No it’s not racist. Being anti-guacamole is not racist,” Leno said. “You have no idea what racism is. That’s not racist, you idiot! You moron!”
Unsurprisingly, leftist news outlets such as Salon, who perpetuate the absurd mentality seen in Leno’s former intern, have already criticized the late night icon for his comments.
“Grumpy old man alert…” Salon wrote on Facebook.
Despite the vast majority of Americans agreeing with Leno according to major polls, the dogma of political correctness, even surrounding the topic of food, continues to pollute popular culture, taking attention away from legitimate social issues.
Earlier this month, news outlet Mother Jones spouted an equally ridiculous assertion when it declared the act of eating three meals a day to be racist.

Mother Jones? You mean the rag that spawned Michael Moore? I wouldn’t wipe my tuchus with that garbage.
