Upon arrival, deputies found the body of Clinton D. Collins, 38, of Annada. Collins was pronounced dead at the scene. The resident was identified as the shooter, Korte said.
Officials said their investigation so far indicates that the homeowner acted in self-defense. The events leading up to the shooting are being investigated. Additional witnesses are being sought and an autopsy is pending.
