Bahar Mustafa of Goldsmiths, University of London sparked a race row after telling white men not to attend an event on diversity in the curriculum. Amid increased scrutiny, she insisted she had done nothing wrong before tweeting with the hashtag #killallwhitemen.
She defended her tweet by saying that minority women cannot be racist or sexist.
However, the Evening Standard reports that Scotland Yard are now investigating allegations about her post. A spokesman said: “Police received a complaint on 7 May about a racially motivated malicious communication that had been made on a social media account. There have been no arrests and enquiries are continuing.”
