The city of Watervliet is at it again. This time Officer Nicolas Pontore running protection for a Troy gang called Young Gunnerz. Just last week Watervliet cops were going after young girls. We all remember Joshua Spratt a Watervliet cop assigned as a resource officer at the local high school.
State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman made the announcement Tuesday afternoon at a news conference in Albany.
Schneiderman says $114,000 worth of cocaine and heroin was seized in the Capital Region. It was part of a sting that ended with 20 people behind bars, including Watervliet Police Officer Nicolas Pontore.
The attorney general says Pontone was buying cocaine from his marked patrol car while on duty daily.
Schneiderman Pontone says was also protecting the gang known as Young Gunnerz. He says the Troy-based drug ring sold heroin and cocaine that was brought into the Capital Region from New York City.
Here are a few videos I did a few months back on the Watervliet Police: Watervliet Arsenal and The police station. In the arsenal video I asked the cops at the end “don’t you have gangs to worry about and not a guy with a camera”? I guess they knew all about the gangs.
Share your thoughts with the department directly. Let them know how they are doing.
