Video – California is currently facing the most severe drought of all time, and the video below shows some staggering aerial footage of just how bad the situation really is. So what is California, which grows half of the fruits and vegetables that are produced in the United States, doing to address this predicament?

Many claim that the California government has been too lenient with water use restrictions placed on large agri-businesses due to effective lobbying efforts of agricultural companies, although improving regulatory policy of agri-business may not really fix all that much when it comes to the drought. The video below, though, does make an important point that Congressmen and Senators statewide are often promised future lobbing jobs while they are in office (and about half of them take these jobs), which has a significant impact on how special interest groups affect policies and laws throughout the country.
