(Before It's News)

CBS 5 - KPHO

A prison transport, which looks like a school bus but carried 50 minimum security inmates instead of children, collided with an overturned semi-truck full of herbicide on an Arizona interstate Tuesday morning.

Twenty of the inmates, along with the driver, and at least one guard were injured in the accident, but the remaining uninjured inmates hung around and helped law enforcement direct traffic at the scene and tend to those who were injured.

All of the inmates, who were being transferred to another facility when the accident occurred, have been accounted for and nobody even attempted to escape.

Authorities are unsure what caused the semi to overturn, but said the spilled herbicide will take some time to clean up.
