I don’t know about the beam of light.
But around 7 PM last night here in west central Florida, there was a loud and long explosion. I’ve never heard anything like it.
I’ve heard transformers explode. I’ve heard lots of lightning. I’ve heard lots of sonic booms.
This explosion made me think something had struck the house. It shook the house. It was very loud. And it lasted, there was no sharp crack or boom. Just a drawn-out loud explosion.
The fact that you are even asking the question “Is it lightning” seriously now, have you ever in your life seen lightning like this? If you cannot tell this is either fake or man made, you really need to wake up.
