The claim from The New York Times is that it wasn’t a debate, but “an inquisition.” Every candidate got torn a new one, as a record-shattering 24 million Americans who somehow after the last 50 years still believe in our federal political process watched the GOP debate last night.
Yep. Last night’s debate officially won the title of the highest-rated cable news program of all time. It was officially Fox’s most-watched program…ever.
The NYT recounted how Fox moderators essentially went down the list of corrupt, classless crap many of these candidates stand accused of and made them answer to it. Then people got into little arguments. Donald Trump acted like Donald Trump. Some pundits are saying it wasn’t a debate but an “audition.” Maybe that’s why people watched?
Because that’s it, America. And the truth is, all of these people are horribly corrupt. All of them. Find one who isn’t and try to explain why you’ve been led to think so.
We aren’t coming back from this.
Here’s the definition of corrupt, by the way, just to remind everyone exactly what that means:
There isn’t even a lesser of two evils this time. Everyone is evil here for one reason or another (or a whole bunch of reasons). Even if you were voting for the least amount of evil possible, however you plan to determine that and then justify it to yourself, you are still voting for evil because evil is the only choice we are given in our corrupt government process.
It’s just like George Carlin said. IS THIS IS THE BEST WE CAN DO, AMERICA?
Yes. Yes it is. Garbage in, garbage out. Because the entire process is corrupt from top-to-bottom, through and through. It’s completely dishonest. It’s all about money and personal gain. This country was bought and sold a long time ago. America is owned by the elite and corporate interests (and China, who owns a bunch of our debt).
None of these talking heads parading around in the dog and pony show that are our for-entertainment-only federal elections are going to change any of that. The fact that the two forerunners are another Bush and another Clinton should be everyone’s first clue…
The giant red link and spinning police light up at Drudge Report this morning is meant to what…?
Make us think “red alert red alert” the people have blindly managed to put their hope into our utterly corrupt and broken political process once again so weep for modern American society? Or “emergency! emergency!” 24 million of your fellow Americans are going to keep playing violins on the deck of the Titanic as the giant boat continues to slowly sink?
Because no matter who plays the music or how pretty it sounds, this boat is still going to wind up on the bottom of the Atlantic.
Or, as George Carlin said, “I’m sure as soon as this election is over, your country will improve immediately.”
