(N.Morgan) One of the things children look forward to in the summer, besides swimming and being on summer vacation, are the bouncy houses that pop up at birthday parties, festivals, and carnivals.
The huge inflated castles represent endless fun and adventure and are as irresistible to children as big triple scoop ice cream cones.
Parents need to remain vigilant and be aware these playhouses hold unseen dangers that are lurking within their walls.
When she asked him what it was and he said he thought it was from the bouncy castle and assumed the plastic had somehow burned his skin, since the plastic in the bouncy house had been rather hot that day.
The news program featured in the video below spoke with a public safety official who told them state regulations require owners to maintain bounce castles in accordance with manufacturer requirements.
These vary as to care and maintenance instructions, and generally advise vacuuming and wiping it down with a mild cleaner after each use.
However, realistically it’s impossible to know if the bouncy house your child is about to play in has been cleaned at all, or ever.
The only way to be sure is if you personally see it done or do it yourself.
After watching this video and hearing the warning, think twice before letting your child play in a bounce castle, and make sure it’s as safe as possible.
Also question the operator of the bouncy house when the last time it was cleaned and disinfected.

Raw unfiltered honey will cure staph.
Topically? Or ingested internally? Please pardon my ignorance.
Staph is Naturally found (always) in ‘every ones’ nasal passages. It is a natural occurrence. One only develops an infection in the case of injury or suppressed immune system.
MRSA is a result of the over use of antibiotics. It can be spread just as little children spread Staph by nose picking and dirty fingers, by dirty towels, the above bouncy castle, gyms, prisons, hospitals, nursing homes, and countless other scenarios. While they are very close to the same….they must be treated “VERY” differently, and neither warrant cruelty, racism, or ridicule.

For once I believe the story. Similar sores can happen after swimming in pools (or hot tubs) not cleaned properly.
Hello Angle#3(prelim),
Charlie here. People don’t realize how unsanitary other people are. Especially from turd-world countries and why they have HORRIBLE diseases. Notice how they are returning to America since illegal immigration?
I once saw a guy’s arm deep red almost up to his elbow and someone told me he got that infection (he needed intravenous antibiotics or he was going lose his arm) from handling dirty moist towels at the loco YMCA. He was the laundry man, I think.
So yeah, people have filthy habits so you have to be careful.
Signed,
Charlie (and why he won’t have Master Bakers make his dougnuts).
abort your life please!
The sores resemble somewhat the abrasions that velour-coated air mattresses do on the skin. Just swiveling slightly your hand on one, can cause the skin to peel away like it was a fruit. And if there are bacteria on the mattress, the symptoms would perhaps more than likely match those of bouncy castle disease.
