(Before It's News)

Here are ten of the most interesting predictions made by the famous prophet Nostradamus that actually come true, it depends what you actually believe of course:

1. Atomic Bomb

‘Near the gates and within two cities There will be scourges the like of which was never seen, Famine within plague, people put out by steel, Crying to the great immortal God for relief.”

Is it possible that Nostradamus predicted the atomic bombing of Japan, which marked the end of World War II? Though writing hundreds of years prior to the events, and in a world where the cannon and gun were fresh innovations on the field of war, could he have conceived of weapons that could wipe out entire cities? Bizarre but nevertheless true, the above quotes illustrated that he did in Century Fifth, Quatrain 8.

2. French Revolution

“Songs, chants, and refrains of the slavish mob, Whilst the Princes and King are captive in prison, Shall be received in the future as oracles divine By headless idiots deprived of judgment.”

The French Revolution, aka. the Revolution of 1789, was a movement that turned France and the whole of Europe between 1787 and 1799 upside down. Hence the conventional term “Revolution of 1789,” denoting the downfall of the ancien régime in France (Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were both guillotined). French society underwent a large transformation, as feudal, aristocratic and religious privileges were removed and were replaced by the radical left-wing political groups, masses on the streets, and peasants in the countryside. Old ideas about tradition and hierarchy–of monarchy, aristocracy, and religious authority–were abruptly killed by new Enlightenment principles of equality, citizenship and inalienable rights.

3. Rise of Hitler

“From the depths of the West of Europe, A young child will be born of poor people, He who by his tongue will seduce a great troop; His fame will increase towards the realm of the East.” “Beasts ferocious with hunger will cross the rivers, The greater part of the battlefield will be against Hister. Into a cage of iron will the great one be drawn, When the child of Germany observes nothing.”

Nostradamus predicted the birth of one of the most sadistic leaders of the 20 century. Yes, that’s correct Nostradamus was on the ball about the Fuhrer’s birth and his cruel intentions. The above quote from his quatrains is proofs of this.

4. London Fire of 1666

“The blood of the just will commit a fault at London, Burnt through lighting of twenty threes the six: The ancient lady will fall from her high place, Several of the same sect will be killed.”

Another of Nostradamus predictions that came true was the London Fire of 1666, which swept through vital parts of the English city and laid waste many great structures. The major conflagration ruined the homes of a huge percentage of the city’s residents, with an estimated 70,000 city inhabitants affected by the fire. Infrastructures damaged by the fire included St. Paul’s Cathedral and 87 parish churches, 13,200 residential edifices, and countless city buildings.

5. 9/11 Attacks

“Earthshaking fire from the center of the Earth Will cause tremors around the New City. Two great rocks will war for a long time, Then Arethusa will redden a new river.”

It is believed that these lines represent the attack that occurred on September 11, 2001 on the Twin Towers.

6. JFK & RFK Assassinations

“The great man will be struck down in the day by a thunderbolt, An evil deed foretold by the bearer of a petition. According to the prediction, another falls at night time. Conflict at Reims, London and a pestilence in Tuscany.“

The Great Man, John Kennedy received several death threats before being assassinated on November 22, 1963. Bobby Kennedy was assassinated shortly after Midnight on June 5, 1968; 5 years after his brother. If you read the quote provided above, you will see the Nostradamus had a grim prediction for the Kennedy Brothers as well.

  • Most of these quatrains can be attributed to a larger series of events. They are intentionally vague so people will think they are talking about one thing or another.

Secondly, Hitler was by no means one of the most sadistic leaders of the 20th century. Take a hard look at American politics and you will find beings who are far more vile than Hitler ever was. Even Stalin made Hitler look like a pretty liberal politician.

Perhaps you should consider JFK’s statement on Hitler.

After visiting these two places you can easily see how that within a few years Hitler will emerge from the hatred that surrounds him now as one of the most significant figures who ever lived. He had boundless ambition for his country, which rendered him a menace to the peace of the world, but he had a mystery about him in the way that he lived and in the manner of his death that will live and grow after him. He had in him the stuff of which legends are made.
