Every day people contact Cop Block, describe an incident in which their rights were violated by a police employee, and inquire how they can get justice. This video gives a recount of how a group in Keene, NH effectively used peaceful means to bring accountability to the situation.

• Incident was captured on video by friends of Derrick J
• Witness to incident gave interview, thus providing even more independent commentary
• Friends of Derrick J had fast response time to the incident
• Those present at incident did not escalate but remained calm, cool and collected
• After the incident, friends of Derrick J focused on their individual comparative advantages to have a bigger impact together
• Derrick J’s friends went to the neighborhood of aggressor Fintan P Moore and made their disapproval of incident known through song and by disseminating information to neighbors

• Liberate information. Consider learning more about programming or connect with others who will be able to ascertain information about aggressors when needed. We’ve seen in recent years, especially in egregious situations such as when Kelly Thomas was slain in Fullerton, that the contact information of aggressors is made public.
• Leverage the court of public opinion. Document and disseminate. Exclusively letting injustice system actors utilize their tools means they determine the outcome.
