21st Century Wire says…

Another major ‘Jihadi Jailbreak’ took place yesterday in Afghanistan.

Taliban militants, reportedly wearing security uniforms, stormed a jail outside the central Afghan city of Ghazni killing multiple police officers before freeing more than 350 prisoners.

One militant is said to have blown himself up during the event.

There are a number of reason to be worried about this latest news…

1-Taliban-Jailbreak-2
Back in 2013, in the space of only one week, three separate “Jihadi Jailbreaks” took place in Iraq, Libya and Pakistan. More than 500 inmates were sprung from two different prisons in Iraq killing 120 Iraqi guards and SWAT forces in attacks in the process. Days later, 1,200 prisoners escaped from a detention center in Benghazi, followed by 250 Pakistani Taliban prisoners who walked out of a jail after 12 policemen were killed and four Shi’ite prisoners throats were cut on the way out. Many analysts believe that this small terrorist army helped to form the chief component of the ISIS force steered into Iraq and Syria 10 months later by the Western-GCC Axis powers.

Previous to that, nearly 500 Taliban were set free in Kandahar, Afghanistan in April 2011. “A tunnel hundreds of metres long was dug from the south of the prison into the prison and 476 political prisoners escaped last night,” said prison director General Ghulam Dastageer Mayar. Prior to that, in 2008, another 1,000 prisoners, mostly Taliban, escaped after militants detonated a truck bomb next to the prison.

Are all of these events genuine ‘Jihadi Jailbreak incidents, or are NATO simply just ‘keeping things interesting’ in Afghanistan? Most certainly, someone on the inside is refilling the ranks of the opposition fighters.

More from Ghazni…

Taliban militants, including suicide bombers and gunmen, attacked a prison in Ghazni, Afghanistan killing at least four police and freeing 352 prisoners, including 150 Taliban. The terror group claims “important military mujahideen” have been released.

“Around 2:30 a.m. six Taliban insurgents wearing military uniforms attacked Ghazni prison,” Mohammad Ali Ahmadi, the deputy provincial governor, told AFP. “First they detonated a car bomb in front of the gate, fired an RPG and then raided the prison.”

Ahmadi said that at least four policemen were killed and seven others were injured, adding that three Taliban fighters were also killed.

“Forty Afghan security forces and prison guards were killed in the prison break and important military mujahideen officials have been freed,” Mujahid claimed, as cited by Reuters.
