Maidan End Game? EU Puppet Yatz Said Western Ukraine Should ‘Return to Poland’

21st Century Wire says…

In 2014, EU operatives together with the US State Department, staged a covert coup d’etat in the Ukraine. Unsurprisingly, what has followed has been non-stop instability and economic failures.

What happened in Kiev’s Maidan Square was only a seed event. After the western-backed coup, NATO began its process of muscling in to the country, as the West egged on a long and failed civil war waged by Kiev’s army against Ukraine’s Russian-speaking citizens in Eastern Ukraine. Washington was hoping Moscow would take the bait and intervene in the conflict, but they did not – leaving the EU Expansion and Neoconservative military plan in disarray.

MAIDAN END-GAME: US puppet Yatsenyuk is trying to push Ukraine into ‘The West’.

With Plan A dead in the water, Washington and the EU may now be exploring some alternative moves on their Grand Chessboard several moves ahead. This week, Ukrainian PM Arseni Yatsenyuk, widely acknowledge by now as a western puppet, has begun making noises about revanchism between western Ukraine and Poland.

Critics might be decrying that this is a ‘ridiculous idea’, but they should be forewarned that many far less radical proposals in history have later gained traction – ending in the the complete redrawing, or reunification of nation states of yesteryear.

No doubt playing to some extremist faction in western Ukraine, Yatsenyuk speaks now of his country’s ‘Eastern Borderlands’, as well as western Belarus and southeastern Lithuania as Polish territories.

Clearly playing to an EU audience, Yatsenyuk claims that a new Warsaw-Kiev partnership is the key to an “axis of the common European future of our nations.”

This game will not end anytime soon. Taking his cues from Washington’s megalomaniacs led by Victoria Nuland, PM Yatsenyuk is blaming Russia for what he perceives to be the source all of Ukraine’s ills. This has been the featured component, as well as the fundamentalist context for which to float his EU and US State Department-driven strategies.
One thing is certain: Washington and the EU will not give up this long-range nudging operation.

REVANCH? Yatz with Polish prime minister Ewa Kopacz last January.

Sputnik News

Polish media are abuzz with excitement over a statement by Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk. The official ostensibly declared that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, which effectively created contemporary Ukraine’s western borders, was an act against the interests of both Poland and Ukraine.

The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, a non-aggression pact signed between the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany in 1939 on the eve of the Second World War, resulted in the return of Polish-controlled territories in western Belarus and Ukraine lost during the Polish-Soviet War of 1919-1921 to the Soviet Union, effectively forming the western borders of the two future countries following the USSR’s collapse.

Speaking alongside Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz, who had arrived in the Ukrainian village of Bykivnia on Thursday to participate in a commemoration to the Polish officers killed by Soviet security forces during the war, Yatsenyuk declared that the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was directed not only against Poland, but against Ukraine as well, Polish newspaper Kresy reported.

“Having concluded this pact, the Bolsheviks-Communists and the Nazis acted against Poland and Ukraine, dividing our countries and humiliating our people,” Yatsenyuk said, adding that the pact was responsible for unleashing the Second World War.

Commenting on the absurdity of Yatsenyuk’s statement, which seemed to open the door for Polishrevanchism in western Ukraine, social media users noted that if authorities in Kiev consider the pact to be a criminal act, perhaps they should contemplate returning western Ukraine to Poland, in the interests of ‘righting’ this historical wrong.

Following the signing of the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, from which post-independence Ukraine eventually emerged, received the regions of Volyn, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Rivne, as well as the region of Lviv and its capital of the same name. Lviv, which had never been part of the Russian Empire, had previously been one of the wealthiest cities in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and served as the jewel in the crown of interwar Poland’s eastern holdings. Following the Polish-Soviet War, Lviv served as Poland’s third most populous city, and was widely considered to be the second most important cultural and academic center in the country after Warsaw.

Social media users who didn’t launch an outright attack on the prime minister seemed dumbfounded by his comment, with a user on news and analysis site PolitNavigator.net asking “Let me get this right: western Ukraine uniting with the rest of Ukraine was directed against Ukraine’s interest? Did Yatsenyuk even understand what he just said?”

Following the collapse of communism, a segment of Polish society began to openly declare that they saw the Kresy, or ‘Eastern Borderlands’ in western Ukraine, western Belarus and southeastern Lithuania as rightfully Polish territories, with numerous organizations with state support creating memorial projects and assisting Poles who continue to live in the region, even if outright revanchism remains politically taboo.

With over 800,000 people resettling west to the territories of contemporary Poland following the war, an estimated 15 percent of Poland’s population is believed to have originated in theKresy…

  • Why do you think Yatsenyuk’s statement (‘western Ukraine uniting with the rest of Ukraine was directed against Ukraine’s interest’) is absurd? His words are quite logical if you’ve ever heard that just EU Association Agreement, adopted by Kiev after EuroMaidan victory, allows the Poles to exercise their right to the lost property in Ukraine. And only because Poland’s demands to restitute a part of Ukraine right now may “have a detrimental impact on the attitude of ordinary Ukrainians towards the very idea of European integration” most likely Warsaw will have to “postpone the filing of lawsuits, concerned restitution of such property to a later date”

In short when new Ukraine’s authorities will prepare own citizens to receive so bad news ‘correctly’.
