Faline Yackel

A Glenwood, Minnesota, woman will likely be searching for a new job after she was busted for sales and possession of methamphetamine Friday and subsequently fired from her job as a sheriff’s dispatcher.

Faline Yackel, who has worked with the department for under a year, was arrested after the West Central Minnesota Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at her home, but due to a conflict of interest, the woman’s case is in the hands of Douglas County investigators and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

“Methamphetamine is a significant problem in the county that our office is working diligently to combat,” said Pope County Sheriff Tim Riley in a written statement, adding, “Drug related activity within our own ranks cannot, and will not be tolerated.”
