It’s a day that sci-fi fans have waited 30 years for, the 21th October 2015, for this is the day that was made famous in the blockbuster movie Back To The Future as the day Doc & Marty arrived from the past in their battered DeLorean! People, young and old, are not letting this day go by and even politicians and police departments joining in the fun.
The funniest posting of the day, that i have come across, almost had me choking on my coffee upon reading it, comes from a Police force in Scotland. I will let the hilarious facebook post do the talking lol
See, the police, despite the fancy costumes they wear and the power trips some of them are on, are human after all!
Else where in the world, Queensland Police in Australia not only got in on the act, but they put some nifty photoshop tricks to good use too! Check out their new “Rapid Response Hoverboard Unit”… lol!
Talking of hoverboards!! Where is mine!! Waterloo Station certainly are aware that hoverboards could become an issue after today, just check out their announcement board!
Even the politicians weren’t going to let this day passed unmarked, and of course, never let any opportunity to take a swipe at an opponent go to waste, right? David HAMeron shamelessly used the day to take a pop at his rival Corbyn.
David Cameron made a reference to Back to the Future day during Prime Minister’s Questions and ruined it for everyone involved.
In response to a question from Iain Stewart on nuclear deterrent, the Cameron said it was “absolutely right” that Britain maintain Trident and highlighted his disappointment over Jeremy Corbyn’s involvement in the CND.
Mr Cameron said: “Frankly it’s today that we’re celebrating that great film Back to the Future and it’s not surprising that many people sitting behind him [Corbyn] will tell him to get in his DeLorean and go back to 1985 and stay there.”
Even the Pensions mob were trying to crack jokes, but when they have ruined so many peoples lives, i find it a bitter pill to swallow anytime these criminals in government try to share a laugh with us, the public, a public they absolutely hate!
So, before I let the criminal blood cult members that reside in our corridors of power ruin the fun, lets take a quick look at some of the things that Back To The Future did get right, even if we are still awaiting those damn hoverboards!!
- VIDEO CALLING – BTTF P2 called the “video calling” right, although they never got the screen size as in the palms of our hands lol
- 3D MOVIE – OK, so Jaws 19 never made it to the big screen, but the 3D movie technology is now in our homes with the advancements in technology.
- Google Glass – Right, the Doc might not be wearing Google Glass as we know it, but his looks cooler and i bet they are half the price! Damn Apple!
- NIKE AIR MAG – There may not be the self-tying variety that McFly modelled, but there is rumoured to be a release of MAG’s in light of the global response to BTTF Day!
- FLYING CARS – So, right about now you are wondering what time-line it is that im on if I believe there to be flying cars lol Hey, its ok, but you should know the geek in me would be able to hunt something down right! Check this out!
- PEPSI PERFECT – Well, like NIKE, PEPSI have seen the marketing potential of Back To The Future Day and coined in by making a special “The Future Is Now” drink to mark the anniversary
